TIBIDABO DUPLEX

Connection between the interior and the garden

A redecoration of an existing house in the Tibidabo area with an intervention on the ground floor of 200 m2. In this historic house of the 20s, it was made a change of materials, colors, lighting, flooring, textiles and accessories.

They wanted to preserve the architectural details of the original home. The ground floor had a huge space without divisions and completely impersonal, so it had to be given maximum warmth. The structural and visual power of the two great arcs that divide the space and that communicate in axis with the unpolluted blank windows was reinforced.

It was decided to redecorate the spaces, providing them a warm and relaxed atmosphere. To give it a greater visual amplitude, large wooden slats are placed. The dominant colors are the brown tonalities with color notes in red and garnets.

The decoration that was proposed for this plant is absolutely current, with antique touches and contemporary works of art. The ornamental elements play an important role with the strategic placement of the different pieces throughout the house.
